Brookhill takes immense pride in its role as the Main Contractor for the state-of-the-art 1600 square meters Data Center nestled within the iconic Britam Towers, a prominent landmark that stands tall as Kenya’s tallest office building. This cutting-edge carrier-neutral colocation facility is not just a data center; it’s positioned as the “digital gateway to West Africa,” serving as a pivotal hub that provides unparalleled access to all major carriers in East Africa.
The scale and significance of this project are underscored by its 240 cabinets, collectively boasting an impressive total power capacity of 1.5 megavolt-amperes (MVA). What sets this facility apart is its commitment to reliability, as reflected in its guaranteed uptime of 99.982%. This exceptional reliability factor positions it as a critical infrastructure hub, ensuring seamless connectivity and uninterrupted operations for the businesses and networks it serves.
The visionary design of the Data Center is credited to the esteemed TRIAD, while its day-to-day operations and management are expertly overseen by MMLTT. From groundbreaking to completion, the journey of this groundbreaking project commenced in August 2020. Notably, the Brookhill team navigated the challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic with resilience and dedication, steadfastly working to bring the project to fruition within the stipulated timeframe.
